THE ANSWER:  St. Louis Concentric on clear ground.   c.1845-60

Hints:

  • Canes are typical St. Louis complex millefiori canes.
  • Alternating color pattern not involving white canes in the outer row is typical of St. Louis (in this case pink and green).
  • St. Louis designs have bold color choices, here the use of pink, green, yellow, red, and blue in one design.
  • The arrangement of the inner canes and the use of many complex canes is typical of St. Louis
